Our residency recognizes the importance of family life. After all, this is family medicine. In our program, emphasis is placed on participating in the life we have worked so hard to achieve. Residents are encouraged to bring their families to resident socials and extracurricular activities.
Our chief residents plan family-oriented activities to bring our residents and their families together as a community. Some of the social activities throughout the year include:
-New Intern Welcome Picnic
-All Hallows Eve with Dr. Evans
-Bonfires and Smores
-Christmas Celebration and White Elephant Gift Exchange
-Holiday Celebrations and Parties at Resident and Faculty Homes
-Laser Tag Competition
-Graduation Dinner and Celebration
Of course, the best learning happens when accompanied by food, and our casual conference style lends itself to afternoons on the lake and ice cream board reviews.
