Dr. Ed Evans began as program director in 2001, with the residency’s first class. Prior, Dr. Evans practiced medicine in both rural Georgia and South Carolina. He completed residency at the University of Virginia Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Evans attended Emory in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in Chemistry.
Dr. Evans is from Atlanta Georgia, and he currently resides in Seneca, SC with his wife. They have three children and are supporting the Clemson Tigers both on the field and in the classroom with all three children attending Clemson.
In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Evans enjoys reading, astronomy, and playing the piano. In addition to running the residency, Dr. Evans continues to practice broad scope family practice including obstetrics and inpatient medicine.
